In his family law practice, David represents clients throughout the Southern California region in matters involving divorce, property division, alimony, divorce tax planning, child custody and visitation, child support, grandparents’ rights, cohabitation agreements, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and domestic violence issues. He also handles commercial litigation and business transactions for small and medium-sized companies in the area.

Living to his father’s words of wisdom, David’s maxim, “Peace of Mind,” is rooted in sophistication, integrity, openness, professionalism, diversity, and excellence. With the elements of Peace of Mind, David has ventured in realms of assisting his clientele in resolving their complex and simple matters.

David received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he participated in a variety of student organizations and activities for the growth of the student body. He subsequently attended Abraham Lincoln University School of Law and was admitted to practice in California. Before founding E&L, LLP, David gained experience with multiple Southern California family law firms, where he learned the importance of understanding the specifics of each case and recognizing the needs of each individual client.

To stay up to date on the latest developments in his areas of practice and to forge connections with fellow members of the bar, David is an active participant in several professional organizations, including the American, Los Angeles County and Beverly Hills bar associations. He is also a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of California and has served as a judge for the American Mock Trial Association.


Mr. Lavi is a member of the Family Law section of the State Bar of California. Mr. Lavi is also an active member of the American Bar Association, Beverly Hills Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association.
